INEX 2011 Workshop

The workshop will take place at Hofgut Imsbach near Saarbrücken, Germany, on December 12-14, 2011. The conference venue offers accommodation, conference facilities, and all meals. The venue is located in Theley which is a small town in the eastern part of the Saarland, a small state in the south-west of Germany. The venue is roughly 45 kilometers to the north of Saarbrücken, the capital of the Saarland.
We recommend that participants travel to Saarbrücken on Sunday, December 11, and stay there for the night. We will then arrange bus transfer to the conference place on Monday morning and back to Saarbrücken (or a nearby train station) on Wednesday after lunch. See below for a choice of hotels in Saarbrücken. We plan to arrange a joint dinner in Saarbrücken on Sunday evening.
Saarbrücken has a small international airport with connections to Berlin, Hamburg, Luxembourg, and Palma de Mallorca, and is well connected by train to Frankfurt (Main) Airport. In addition, Frankfurt (Hahn) Airport is relatively close, even though connection by public transport from there is somewhat complicated, and it is often easiest to take a taxi from there.
It is also possible to travel directly to the conference venue by car (Hofgut Imsbach 1, 66636 Theley), or travel by train to Türkismühle or St. Wendel and take a taxi from there.
The registration fee for the workshop was 311€. This includes bus transfer, accommodation for two nights, all meals from Monday lunch to Wednesday lunch, coffee breaks, and wifi at the venue. You pay directly to the hotel upon checkout.

The registration deadline was November 10, 2011.
There was a limited number of support grants for undergraduate and gratudate students attending the INEX workshop, provided by the Cluster of Excellence "Multimodal Computing and Interaction" at Saarland University. Each grant covered the workshop fee (311 Euros).
